The Medusa Tower is a tower southwest in Tiquanda, , south of the Hunter/Dworc Camp. It can be reached by going down a hole north of the tower and entering it at the basement through a tunnel. The creatures become gradually stronger as you go higher and higher. The tower is in the style of the Lizards, as becomes clear from objects like Giant Lizard Claws, Lizard Statues, Pagodas, and Snake Walls. However, there's a large variety of statues all around the tower, such as a Dwarven Statue (Mace), a Pirate Statue, and a Vampire Statue. The Medusa Tower is also one of the spots you have to cartograph during the Cartography 101 Quest.

CREATURES

Basement: The basement is an excellent place to complete Killing in the Name of... Quest tasks for Stone Golems and Gargoyles. Ground floor: This floor is immediately challenging as you can be hit from a distance by creatures beyond the wall. Go to the south side of the stairs immediately and protect yourself with Fire Bomb Runes. File:Ground Floor Monster Crossfire-0.png The coins represent the number of tiles that a monster can launch a distance attack at players who do not move away from the stairs. A player's first experience with the tower may cause them to lose enthusiasm for their attempt to conquer the tower due to the amount of damage received in the first instant. A bold player will realize that the monsters are vulnerable to retaliation and area attack runes can clear the area by players standing on any of the tiles marked by coins in the south-west of the picture. File:Ground Floor - Save Place to Fight From.png Fire Bomb Runes are most effective at protecting a player on the ground floor. On floors above you will find Behemoths which do not respect the flames. You need to be supplied with a quantity of Energy Bomb Runes to defeat them and protect yourself. File:Ground Floor - Clearing Room 3.png You start to move clockwise around the room using Fire Bomb Runes for protection. File:Ground Floor - Clearing Room 4.png Keep up your courage and move on. They cannot defeat you. First floor: This floor is immediately challenging as you can be hit from a distance by creatures beyond the wall. Go to the south side of the stairs immediately and protect yourself with Fire Bomb Runes. File:First Floor Monster Crossfire Entry.png You have the same challenges on the first floor as you did on the ground floor. Monsters can attack from beyond the wall to the south. The lines of attack are as the coins indicate. You should move north as soon as you can. There is only one Behemoth at the top of the stairs. You need to prepare an Energy Bomb Rune for safety and use it as far north and east of the stairs as you can. First Floor Entry clear 2.png Clearing the first floor south of the wall. The monsters can only attack using line of sight. You can use area runes and easily clear monsters who cannot attack you directly. First Floor Monster Crossfire.png This is another view of the shooting lanes available across the wall. Second floor: Second Floor - Area of Stairs from First Floor Suggested Energy Bomb Placement.png Prior to going up the stairs between the first and second make sure you have energy bombs hotkeyed as there are seven behemoths on this floor. If the room is occupied by number of behes throw an energy bomb into the lower right corner of the room. If there are one or none you may wish to block the entrance to the room. Second Floor - Area of Stairs from First Floor Suggested Energy Bomb Placement=2.png It may be your best tactic to clear the whole floor from the first room luring serpent spawn and behemoths back to the stairs. Second Floor Safe Places.png There are two defensible places on this floor where monsters can only approach you on two squares. Second Floor Safe Places-2.png Both places are on the west side of the room. Third floor: Third Floor - Area of Stairs from First Floor Behes and Serpent Spawns-3.png Again, the easiest way to attack this floor is to use energy bombs south and east of the stairs and build up a defended area. Come up the right side of the stairs and run right and south. Fourth floor: Fourth Floor Monsters.png This floor gets tougher. You can use fire bombs on this floor as there are no longer any behemoths. Fire bombs last longer, block both Serpent Spawns, and are traversable by summoned Demon Skeletons who are quite effective against Medusae as they are immune to the poison used by the physically weak Medusae. Fifth floor: Fifth Floor - Firefield to block spawn.png There are four Medusae and two Serpent Spawns on this floor. The best approach is to go up the north side of the stairs between the fourth and fifth floor. As the monsters converge on you throw a firebomb centered on the fire field. Drop back down and heal. When you come back up use the south side of the stairs and step into the protected zone south of the stairs. Fifth Floor Hunting with Demon Skeleton.png The fourth and fifth floor can be hunted by mages using demon skeletons and firebombs. Both of those floors can be spawn-blocked and monsters can be killed at a safe and leisurely pace. Fifth Floor Hunting with Demon Skeletons.png All the monsters on this floor were killed by a single druid hunting alone. The first fire bomb is applied south of the stairs and others applied to cut off the room. Once a sufficient defensive depth was gained two summoned Demon Skeletons were spawned and the monsters were destroyed in groups and singly by firebombs and Sudden Death Runes while ineffectively attacking the Demon Skeletons. The Demon Skeletons were healed as needed by Utevo Mas Res while the more dangerous Serpent Spawns were killed first as they are more physically damaging to the summons.
