Norcferatu
Orc-vampire hybrids, the Bloody Tusks Quest, and endgame equipment — complete hunting and boss guide
The Norcferatu are a faction of orc-vampire hybrids introduced in the Summer Update 2025. Located in the cursed lands of Vengoth(accessible from Yalahar), their territory includes two distinct hunting areas — the Norcferatu Fortress on the surface and the Norcferatu Dungeons underground. Access to both zones requires progress through the Bloody Tusks Quest (Level 250+). The area is designed for endgame characters (550+) and culminates in the Archfoe boss Vladrukh, who drops the coveted Norcferatu Set— best-in-slot 2-piece equipment for every vocation.
Norcferatu Overview
The Norcferatu are orc-dhampir hybrids — the result of ancient blood cult rituals that fused orcish brutality with vampiric power. Their lore ties directly into the Bloody Tusks Quest, which tells the story of how these creatures came to dominate the underground passages beneath Vengoth. The faction features two signature creature types (Heartless and Nightweaver) alongside four supporting species, culminating in the Archfoe boss Vladrukh.
💡 QUEST CONNECTION
The Norcferatu area is gated behind the Bloody Tusks Quest. You must be at least Level 250 to start the quest, and you need to collect 17 Norcferatu Talismansduring the "Breaking In" mission. See our Bloody Tusks Quest Guide for the full walkthrough.
Location & Access
Both Norcferatu hunting areas are located in Vengoth, a dark region accessible through Yalahar. You need to have progressed through the Bloody Tusks Quest to unlock access. The two zones are stacked vertically — the Fortress sits on the surface (floor 7) and the Dungeons lie directly below (floor 8).
| AREA | FLOOR | COORDINATES | NOTES |
|---|---|---|---|
| Norcferatu Fortress | 7 (Surface) | 128.146, 122.219, 7 | Initial area, lighter spawn |

All Creature Stats
Six creature species inhabit the Norcferatu territory. The two signature Norcferatu species (Heartless and Nightweaver) are classified as Humanoids in the bestiary. The supporting cast includes the powerful Orclops Bloodbreaker, two mid-tier threats (Dworc Shadowstalker and Gloom Maw), and the Varg.
| CREATURE | HP | EXP | CLASS | LOCATION |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Varg | 5,400 | 5,630 | Humanoid | Fortress + Dungeons |
| Norcferatu Heartless | 5,700 | 5,900 | Humanoid (Hard) | Fortress + Dungeons |
| Norcferatu Nightweaver | 6,100 | 6,370 | Humanoid (Hard) | Fortress + Dungeons |
| Gloom Maw | 8,700 | 8,770 | Humanoid | Fortress + Dungeons |
| Dworc Shadowstalker | 8,900 | 8,930 | Humanoid | Fortress + Dungeons |
| Orclops Bloodbreaker | 10,300 | 10,250 | Humanoid | Fortress + Dungeons |
NORCFERATU HEARTLESS — DETAILED
Lore: Orc-dhampir hybrids who removed their own hearts in a blood cult ritual, becoming undying vessels of rage. They are primarily melee attackers with high physical damage output.
Notable Loot: Norcferatu Talisman, Chaos Mace, Vampire Shield, War Axe
NORCFERATU NIGHTWEAVER — DETAILED
Lore: Twisted shamans who fuse blood magic with shadow worship. They combine melee attacks with dangerous shadow and blood magic spells, making them more versatile threats than their Heartless counterparts.
Notable Loot: Norcferatu Talisman, Wand of Defiance, Death Ring, Magma Amulet
💡 TALISMAN FARMING
Both Norcferatu Heartless and Nightweaver drop Norcferatu Talismans. You need 17 of them for the Bloody Tusks Quest "Breaking In" mission. Farm the Fortress for easier kills or the Dungeons for denser spawns.
Elemental Weaknesses & Strategy
The two signature Norcferatu creatures have distinct elemental profiles. Earth is the best universal choice since both species are weak to it. Ice is optimal against Nightweavers specifically. Both species strongly resist Death damage, so avoid Death-element attacks entirely.
| CREATURE | PHYS | EARTH | HOLY | ICE | ENERGY | DEATH |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Norcferatu Heartless | 90% | 110% | 105% | 100% | 95% | 70% |
| Norcferatu Nightweaver | 100% | 105% | 95% | 110% | 90% | 75% |
Values above 100% = extra damage dealt. Values below 100% = creature resists that element. Heartless are more physically resistant (90%) while Nightweavers have standard physical vulnerability (100%).
KNIGHT STRATEGY
- • Use Earth elemental weapons for maximum damage
- • Box 4-6 creatures depending on gear and skills
- • Imbue with Vampirism (Life Leech) and Void (Mana Leech)
- • Prioritize Orclops Bloodbreakers — they hit hardest (10,300 HP)
- • Skill 120+ recommended, Defense 110+
PALADIN STRATEGY
- • Use Earth damage arrows/bolts or switch to Ice for Nightweaver packs
- • Kite in circles through the spawn, avoid getting trapped
- • Keep distance from Orclops Bloodbreakers — strong melee
- • Skill 115+ recommended, Defense 105+
- • Bring Avalanche Runes for AoE damage on clusters
MAGE STRATEGY (DRUID)
- • Terra Strike and Terra Wave for Earth damage
- • Avalanche runes for AoE on Nightweaver groups
- • Skill 110+ recommended, Defense 35+
- • Keep maximum distance, use Energy Wall for positioning
- • Wild Growth can block paths in the Dungeons
MAGE STRATEGY (SORCERER)
- • Terra Strike for single-target Earth damage
- • Use Stone Shower runes for Earth AoE
- • Energy damage is suboptimal (95% on Heartless, 90% on Nightweaver)
- • Avoid Death damage spells entirely (70-75% resistance)
- • Skill 110+ recommended, Defense 35+
CRITICAL: DEATH DAMAGE TRAP
Both Norcferatu species strongly resist Death damage (Heartless: 70%, Nightweaver: 75%). If you are a Sorcerer who typically relies on Death-element spells, switch to Earth for this area. Using Sudden Death runes or Death Strike here wastes 25-30% of your damage output.
Hunting Areas
The Norcferatu territory is split into two distinct hunting zones. The Fortress serves as the entry point with a lighter spawn, while the Dungeons are the primary endgame hunting ground with denser creature packs and boss access.
NORCFERATU FORTRESS (SURFACE)
Creatures: Dworc Shadowstalker, Gloom Maw, Norcferatu Heartless, Norcferatu Nightweaver, Orclops Bloodbreaker, Varg
The Fortress is the first area you unlock through the Bloody Tusks Quest. It has a sparser spawn compared to the Dungeons, making it suitable for initial exploration and learning creature behavior. Use this area to farm Norcferatu Talismans at a safer pace before moving to the Dungeons.
NORCFERATU DUNGEONS (UNDERGROUND)
| VOCATION | REC. LEVEL | REC. SKILL | REC. DEFENSE |
|---|---|---|---|
| Knight | 550+ | 120 | 110 |
| Paladin | 550+ | 115 | 105 |
| Druid / Sorcerer | 550+ | 110 | 35 |
Creatures: Same as Fortress (Dworc Shadowstalker, Gloom Maw, Norcferatu Heartless, Norcferatu Nightweaver, Orclops Bloodbreaker, Varg) plus the Archfoe boss Vladrukh.
Best Loot: Norcferatu Talisman, Blood Sceptre
💡 HUNTING TIP: DUNGEONS ROTATION
The Dungeons have a tighter layout than the Fortress, meaning creatures respawn faster relative to your path. Establish a circular route through the main chambers to maintain consistent pulls. Knights should box 4-6 creatures per pull, while Paladins and Mages should kite along the corridor edges.
ORCLOPS BLOODBREAKER WARNING
With 10,300 HP and 10,250 Exp, the Orclops Bloodbreaker is the most dangerous regular creature in both zones. It hits significantly harder than the Norcferatu species. Never let multiple Bloodbreakers surround you. Knights should prioritize pulling them out of packs.
Vladrukh Boss Strategy
BOSS OVERVIEW
Vladrukh is the Archfoe boss at the end of the Bloody Tusks Quest final mission. This is a multi-phase fight with unique mechanics that require team coordination. The battle has a 15-minute timer— if you do not kill Vladrukh in time, you fail and must wait the full 20-hour cooldown to try again.
PHASE 1: VLADRUKH + BLOOD POOLS
- • Attack Vladrukh directly while managing Blood Pools that spawn around the room
- • Blood Pools deal Life Drain damage to everyone nearby — they must be managed, not ignored
- • Counter strategy:Summon Demon Skeletons and trap them near Blood Pools using Energy Fields — the Blood Pools will target the summons instead of your team
- • Knight should position Vladrukh in a corner, facing away from the shooters
- • Continue DPSing Vladrukh while one player manages Blood Pool diversion
PHASE 2: VAMPIRIC ESSENCES + VAMPIRE BATS
- • When Vladrukh reaches low HP, Vampiric Essences and Vampire Bats spawn
- • Kill the Vampiric Essences as quickly as possible — they are the priority target
- • Vampire Bats are immortal — do NOT waste damage on them
- • Vampire Bats cause Drunk and Fear effects, reflect damage, and ignore Challenge
- • Knights cannot taunt the bats away — everyone must deal with the disruption
POISON FIELD TRANSFORMATION
When Vladrukh reaches red HP, it transforms into a poison field form and gains temporary immunityto all damage. Stop attacking during this phase and focus on healing and repositioning. The immunity is temporary — resume attacking once the boss reverts to its normal form.
RECOMMENDED PROTECTION
- • Life Drain protection (essential for Blood Pools)
- • Earth protection (poison field phase)
- • Strong healing rotation (Druid healer mandatory)
- • Physical protection for Knight blocker
TEAM COMPOSITION
- • Knight: Main blocker, positions boss in corner
- • Druid: Primary healer + Earth damage
- • Sorcerer: DPS (use Earth spells, not Death)
- • Paladin: Ranged DPS + Blood Pool management
VLADRUKH LOOT TABLE
| ITEM | TYPE | NOTES |
|---|---|---|
| Crystal Coins | Currency | Common drop |
| Greater Proficiency Catalyst | Quest Item | Used for equipment upgrades |
| Blood Preservation | Quest Item | Bloody Tusks Quest reward item |
| Blood Sceptre | Weapon | Rare drop, tradeable |
| Skull Helmet | Equipment | Classic valuable drop |
| Epee | Weapon | Sword weapon drop |
| Skull Staff | Weapon | Staff weapon drop |
| Norcferatu Set Pieces | Equipment | Vocation-specific, best-in-slot |
CRITICAL BOSS MECHANICS
The Vampire Bats in Phase 2 reflect damage and cannot be killed. Attacking them will hurt your team and waste precious time on the 15-minute clock. Focus all DPS on Vampiric Essences first, then return to Vladrukh. The Knight cannot use Challenge on the bats — they ignore all aggro mechanics.
💡 DEMON SKELETON TRICK
The key to Phase 1 is the Demon Skeleton + Energy Field combo. Have a Sorcerer or Druid summon Demon Skeletons and place Energy Fields around them to trap them in position near Blood Pools. The pools will drain the summons instead of your team, giving you breathing room to damage Vladrukh. Prepare the summons before engaging the boss if possible.

💡 DRUID HIGHLIGHT
The Druid set (Norcferatu Bonecloak + Bloodstrider) is arguably the strongest combination. Earth Magic Level +6 and Healing Magic Level +3 on the armor alone is a massive boost to both offensive and supportive output. Combined with the Bloodstrider boots (+2 Magic Level, +4% Death protection), Druids get the largest overall power increase from the Norcferatu Set. For more Druid equipment options, see our equipment progression guides.
💡 MONK SET: LOWER LEVEL REQUIREMENT
The Monk set only requires Level 230compared to 270 for all other vocations. This means Monks can start wearing their Norcferatu pieces 40 levels earlier. The Bonehood helmet and Fleshguards gloves together provide +2 Fist Fighting, +2% Physical, +5% Ice, and +4% Death protection — a significant defensive upgrade at that level range.
Bestiary & Charm Points
The signature Norcferatu creatures are classified as Humanoids at Hard difficulty in the bestiary, requiring 2,500 kills each for completion. Completing both earns charm points that can be applied through the Charm system.
| CREATURE | CLASS | DIFFICULTY | KILLS NEEDED | CHARM POINTS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Norcferatu Heartless | Humanoid | Hard | 2,500 | 50 |
| Norcferatu Nightweaver | Humanoid | Hard | 2,500 | 50 |
| Dworc Shadowstalker | Humanoid | Hard | 2,500 | 50 |
| Gloom Maw | Humanoid | Hard | 2,500 | 50 |
| Orclops Bloodbreaker | Humanoid | Hard | 2,500 | 50 |
| Varg | Humanoid | Hard | 2,500 | 50 |
Total: 15,000 kills for up to 300 charm points (if all six are Hard difficulty). Since you are farming this area at 550+ for equipment and quest progress, bestiary completion happens naturally over time. For optimal charm farming routes, see our Complete Charm Guide.
💡 BESTIARY EFFICIENCY
Since all six Norcferatu area creatures appear in both the Fortress and Dungeons, you can work on all bestiary entries simultaneously while hunting. The Dungeons have denser spawns, making them more efficient for bestiary completion. Pair this with your regular boss runs and Talisman farming to maximize your time investment.
