Spirit Unrest

Meeting the Lizard Shaman

1

SPEAK WITH THE LIZARD SHAMAN

Dragon Graveyard Area

Find the Lizard Shaman S'Zallar M'Andar. He has felt tremors in the spirit wind -- whispers rising from the dragon graveyard. The ancient dragon spirits are in unrest.

S'Zallar M'Andar— say "unrest"
"The dragon cemetery is a place most sacred. Its bones are heavy with ancient breath, and we, the scaled children, dare not tread upon that hallowed ground. Yet shadows coil amidst the graves. Sinister forces stir, where none should dwell. Something desecrates the slumber of the old dragons."

Say yes when asked to assist. He gives you a totem -- a vessel of communion that allows you to speak with him from anywhere. Guard it well; if lost, he can create another but it costs him strength.

💡 TIP

If you lose the totem, you can get a replacement from S'Zallar M'Andar, but you may need to provide rare offerings to cover the cost of crafting a new one.

COMMUNE WITH THE DRAGON ANCESTOR SPIRIT

Dragon Cemetery

Travel to the dragon cemetery and find the Dragon Ancestor Spirit. Say spirit to hear its warning about the necromancer desecrating the graves.

Dragon Ancestor Spirit— say "spirit"
"The spirits of the dragon graves whisper but their voices are broken, chained. This is the work of one who binds life and death alike. Every great dragon bound its essence to a place, a hoard, a relic of its might. Seek these places, for only through their tokens may the spirits be freed and cleansed."

DANGER

"Even weakened by the relics, the graveborn will strike as storms of spirits and death. Do not mistake them for mere shadows of their former selves." -- The creatures here hit hard even in their weakened state.

The spirit reveals the key information: four ancient dragons -- Myzareth, Zharvorin,Elyrax, and Scarith -- have had their soul-essences stolen by the necromancer. The puppeteer hides deep below in bone and darkness, and can only be defeated if denied the souls he has bound.

SURVIVE THE FROZEN PATH

Frozen Wastes

Before reaching the necromancer's isle, you must cross a treacherous frozen landscape. A Drunken Sailor at the start warns you about the dangers ahead.

Drunken Sailor— say "listen up"
"Them rat-men! Damn pirats they are. They got cannons on that cursed ship. Wanna crack the dragon's hoard in the ice, but the cold 'n' the horrors won't let 'em. So they fire at anything that moves. Even ya."

ICE GAUNTLET HAZARDS

  • Drunk effect: The ice makes your character stagger and stumble as if intoxicated. Movement becomes unpredictable.
  • Pirat cannons: A pirat ship fires cannons at anything that moves in the area. Stay alert and keep moving.
  • Ice Horrors: Boss-level creatures patrol the frozen wastes (750,000+ exp each).
  • Freezing damage: Without protection, the cold deals continuous damage. Your blood will freeze.

💡 TIP

The Drunken Sailor hints: "Best cure fer the cold is a good swig o' rum. Warms the bones, steadies the knees." Bring rum to counter the drunk effect from the ice and survive the cold.

DEFEAT THE GUARDIAN CREATURES

Various Locations

Throughout the quest, you encounter several powerful boss-level creatures guarding the path to the Bone Overlord. These are not ordinary monsters -- they hit hard and require team coordination.

NOTABLE ENEMIES

Eldritch Dragon Lord -- Boss creature, 750,000 exp. A corrupted dragon lord twisted by necromantic power.
The Gravedigger -- Boss creature, 750,000 exp. A necromantic entity lurking among the dragon graves.
Fatal Bug -- Boss creature, 750,000 exp. A dangerous entity encountered during the quest.
Ice Horror -- Boss creature found in the frozen wastes area.
Enthralled Dragons-- Dragons corrupted by the necromancer's magic, hostile to adventurers.

After defeating the guardians and collecting the soul tokens from the ancient dragons, return to S'Zallar M'Andar. Say mission -- he confirms you are prepared to face the necromancer and offers passage to the isle via his enchanted canoe.

REACH THE BONE OVERLORD

Necromancer Isle

Ask S'Zallar M'Andar for a passage. His canoe, prepared with ancient magic, navigates through the spirit mists to the necromancer's isle. The Bone Overlord awaits inside.

DANGER

This is one of Tibia's most mechanically complex boss fights. Every team member needs to understand Soulcage weaknesses, avoid dragon Spirit healing, and handle the Bone Overlord's targeted abilities. Read the full mechanics below before entering.

6

Soulcage Mechanics

Phase 1 of Boss Fight

DESTROY ALL FOUR SOULCAGES

The goal is to destroy the Bonelord's Phylactery, but it only appears after all four Soulcages are destroyed. Each Soulcage is linked to a dragon Spirit and inflicts a different status condition on all players. The dragon Spirits are immune to all damage, but their Soulcages can be killed. The Spirit and its Soulcage share an HP pool.

DANGER

Do not let a dragon Spirit near its Soulcage. If a Spirit reaches its Soulcage, the Soulcage heals 5,000+ HP per turn. When the Soulcage's HP gets low, the Spirit teleports directly to it, making this unavoidable at certain thresholds. Burst damage is critical.

SoulcagePositionWeaknessCondition
ZharvorinNorth EastDeath + PhysicalRooted
MyzarethNorth WestEnergyFeared
ScarithSouth WestIceDrunk
ElyraxSouth EastDeath + HolySlowed

💡 TIP

Coordinate with your team to focus one Soulcage at a time using the correct element. Keep the linked dragon Spirit away from the Soulcage by having team members body-block or lure it. When the HP threshold triggers a Spirit teleport, burst the Soulcage down fast before it heals back.

Bone Overlord Abilities

Targeted Mechanics

BOSS TARGETED ABILITIES

Throughout the fight, the Bone Overlord targets individual players (you see: "The bonelord gazes!"). This triggers one of the following mechanics:

Bone Barrier

"THE BONELORD DISPLACES YOU!"

You are teleported to a separate room. Break through Bone Barriers (10,000 HP each) to reach the teleport back. Barriers respawn, but you can block the respawn point to prevent them from blocking your path.

An Eye

"AN EYE IS CAST ON YOU!"

An Eye spawns near you. After a few seconds it explodes, dealing 30% of your maximum HP as Agony damage to everyone in the area. Multiple Eyes can be active at once -- spread out.

Wraithfire

"THE BONELORD CASTS WRAITHFIRE AT YOU!"

Wraithfire appears under your feet, dealing 15% of your current HP as Agony damage. Move off immediately.

Mana Drain

"THE BONELORD DRAINS YOU!"

You lose 5% of your maximum mana every 2 seconds for 5 turns (10 seconds total). Mages and healers should keep mana potions ready.

Curse

"THE BONELORD CURSES YOU!"

You explode in a small radius dealing Physical damage every 4 seconds for 4 turns. This damages nearby players -- move away from teammates when cursed.

VICTORY

Once all four Soulcages are destroyed, the Bonelord's Phylactery appears. Destroy it to defeat the Bone Overlord. Return to S'Zallar M'Andar and say mission, then reward, then yes to receive your reward.

S'Zallar M'Andar— say "reward"
"I will grant you one of the vile necromantic runes that I found in my quest. The dragon ancestor on the cemetery might reward you for its destruction. The talisman I bestowed upon you shall grant you a small share of their grave each fortnight."

What are the dangers on the frozen path?
The ice makes your character stagger as if drunk. Pirat cannons fire at anything that moves. Ice Horrors and other creatures patrol the area. Drinking rum helps counter the drunk effect from the ice.
