The Frozen Trench is an underwater trench located underground, a bit south of the island Tyrsung. The trench as a whole is the main reason why Okolnir and Tyrsung have shattered altogether. There have been reports of roaming beasts therein and only a worthy explorer would be allowed to go into such a hazardous place. The trench itself is the home of all types of Quaras and Massive Water Elementals. The area consists of 2 different main floors, and several pits filled with Quaras on the third floor of depth. Before going to the Frozen Trench, you need to complete the "Undersea Kingdom" part of The Explorer Society Quest. You then do the "Frozen Trench" part of The Explorer Society Quest. A prerequisite of the "Frozen Trench" is "Formorgar Mines 3" of The Ice Islands Quest.
