HOW THE BOSSTIARY SYSTEM WORKS
The Bosstiary is a boss tracking system that rewards players with permanent equipment loot bonuses. Bosses are categorized by their spawn cooldown, not by difficulty. Each category has different kill requirements for the three completion tiers.
BANE
- Cooldown: Can be killed multiple times within 20 hours
- Prowess: 25 kills (5 pts)
- Expertise: 100 kills (15 pts)
- Mastery: 300 kills (30 pts)
- Total points: 50 per boss
ARCHFOE
- Cooldown: 20 to 48 hours between kills
- Prowess: 5 kills (10 pts)
- Expertise: 20 kills (30 pts)
- Mastery: 60 kills (60 pts)
- Total points: 100 per boss
NEMESIS
- Cooldown: Longer than 48 hours / rare spawns
- Prowess: 1 kill (10 pts)
- Expertise: 3 kills (30 pts)
- Mastery: 5 kills (60 pts)
- Total points: 100 per boss
COMPLETION TIER REWARDS
- Prowess (1st tier): Unlocks a Boss Slot — lets you assign this boss for equipment loot bonus (25% base)
- Expertise (2nd tier): Unlocks a Podium of Vigor (decorative house item for displaying boss)
- Mastery (3rd tier): Grants an additional +25% equipment loot bonus when this boss is in your slot
EQUIPMENT LOOT BONUS: HOW IT SCALES
The Bosstiary loot bonus is an equipment loot bonus — it gives you an extra chance to roll for equipment drops when killing a boss assigned to your boss slot. The bonus scales with your total accumulated boss points across all bosses.
BOSS POINT SCALING
| BOSS POINTS | SCALING RATE | EQUIPMENT LOOT BONUS |
|---|---|---|
| 0 - 250 points | +1% per 10 points | Up to +50% |
| 250 - 1,250 points | +1% per 20 points | Up to +100% |
| Maximum possible | From points alone | Up to +182% |
MASTERY BONUS STACKING
When you reach Mastery on a specific boss and assign it to your boss slot, you get an additional +25% on top of your point-based bonus. Maximum total: 207% equipment loot bonus (182% from points + 25% from Mastery). This means you get an extra equipment loot roll with over double the normal chance — massive value on bosses that drop expensive equipment.
ROI CALCULATION EXAMPLE
Grand Master Oberon (Nemesis boss): Average equipment value = 500k+ gold per kill. With a 100% equipment loot bonus from boss points, you effectively get double the equipment drops over time. At Mastery (+25% more), every kill has significantly higher rare drop chances. Over hundreds of kills, this translates to tens of millions of extra gold. Verdict: Absolutely worth it for bosses you kill regularly.
DAILY BOOSTED BOSS STRATEGY
Every day at server save (10:00 CET), one random Archfoe boss becomes the "Boosted Boss." This is one of the most valuable daily activities in Tibia — don't skip it.
BOOSTED BOSS BENEFITS
- 250% equipment loot: 2.5x the normal equipment drop rate
- 3x bosstiary progress: Each kill counts as 3 kills toward completion
- Cooldown reset: Boss cooldown resets at server save for all players
- 30-day rotation: A boss can't be boosted again for 30 days after being featured
HOW TO CHECK TODAY'S BOSS
- TibiaBuddy: Check our Bosstiary page— today's boosted boss is displayed at the top.
- In-game: The boss icon glows in the Bosstiary window.
- Server save: Changes at 10:00 CET daily. Plan hunts around this.
IMPORTANT: NO EXPERIENCE BONUS
Unlike the Boosted Creature system (which gives 2x exp and 2x loot for regular creatures), the Boosted Boss does notgive bonus experience. The benefit is purely the 250% equipment loot rate and 3x bosstiary kill credit. Don't confuse these two systems — they are separate mechanics.
DAILY BOSS ROUTINE (15-30 MIN)
- 1. Log in after server save (10:00 CET)
- 2. Check today's boosted boss on TibiaBuddy
- 3. If it's a boss you can kill — go kill it immediately (250% equipment loot!)
- 4. Kill 2-3 other daily bosses in your level range for bosstiary progress
- 5. Check boss cooldowns — some bosses respawn every 2 hours
QUICK BOSSTIARY POINTS (PRIORITY LIST)
Nemesis bosses give the most points per kill (100 total, only 5 kills for Mastery). Archfoe bosses give 100 total points but need 60 kills. Bane bosses need 300 kills for just 50 points. Prioritize Nemesis and Archfoe bosses for the fastest point accumulation.
NEMESIS BOSSES: BEST POINTS PER KILL
Only 5 kills for full Mastery (100 points). Even 1 kill gives you Prowess (10 points). Target these first.
GRAND MASTER OBERON (LVL 300+)
Falcon Bastion. Team required. Extremely valuable equipment drops. 5 kills for full Mastery = 100 boss points.
FERUMBRAS MORTAL SHELL (LVL 300+)
Difficult team boss but only 5 kills needed. High-value rare drops.
HIGH-VALUE ARCHFOE BOSSES (100 POINTS EACH)
SCARLETT ETZEL (LVL 250+)
Daily spawn in Cobra Bastion. Excellent loot (Cobra items worth 500k-2M). 60 kills for Mastery = 2-3 months of daily killing. Worth it for the loot alone.
GNOMEVIL (LVL 200+)
Warzone boss with short cooldown. Can kill multiple times per day. Low difficulty, consistent spawns. One of the fastest Archfoe completions.
DRUME (LVL 230+)
Issavi boss with valuable drops (Falcon items). Daily spawn. Team required but very profitable. 100 boss points total.
EASIEST BANE BOSSES (50 POINTS EACH)
Bane bosses can be killed frequently (short cooldown) but need 300 kills for Mastery. Prowess at 25 kills is the quick win.

BOSS COOLDOWNS & SPAWN MECHANICS
COOLDOWN TYPES
- Player cooldown: Time before YOU can loot again (usually 20 hours)
- Boss respawn: Time before the boss spawns again for anyone
- Bane bosses: Short cooldowns, can be killed frequently
- Archfoe bosses: 20-48 hour respawn timers
- Nemesis bosses: 48+ hours, some are raid-based with rare spawns
SPAWN OPTIMIZATION
- Track cooldowns: Note when you last killed each boss
- Server save rush: Kill daily bosses immediately after 10:00 CET
- Multiple characters: Boss kills are per-character, not per-account
- Guild coordination: Share boss spawn info with guildmates
TEAM BOSS HUNTING STRATEGIES
BOSS HUNT TEAM COMPOSITION
- Minimum team: EK (tank) + ED (healer) for most bosses
- Optimal team: EK + ED + MS + RP for fast kills and safety
- Nemesis bosses: Full 5-player team with voice chat required
GUILD BOSS RUNS
The most efficient approach is organizing guild boss runs. 4-5 players travel together through a circuit of 15-20 bosses in 1-2 hours. Everyone gets kills, everyone progresses bosstiary. Schedule runs after server save for maximum boss availability.
BOSS KILL ETIQUETTE
- First come, first serve: Respect who found the boss first
- Share respawn times: Help guildmates track when bosses are up
- Rotate Nemesis kills: Take turns on limited-spawn bosses
- Boosted boss priority: Everyone should get the daily boosted boss kill
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the equipment loot bonus apply to rare drops?
Yes. The equipment loot bonus gives you an additional roll for equipment drops, increasing your chances of getting rare items. Combined with the daily boosted boss (250% rate), your rare drop chances increase dramatically.
How long to complete the entire Bosstiary?
Full Mastery on all bosses takes 1-3 years of consistent daily boss hunting. However, reaching Prowess on many Nemesis bosses (1 kill each) and Bane bosses (25 kills each) gives you quick points. Focus on getting your total boss points up for the scaling equipment loot bonus.
Do I need Premium to use the Bosstiary?
No. The Bosstiary system is available to all players. However, Premium players have access to more hunting areas and bosses, so they can progress faster. Free account players can still complete many Bane and some Archfoe bosses.
Should I prioritize Bosstiary or Bestiary (charms)?
Both, but differently. Bosstiary progress happens passively during daily boss runs (15-30 min/day). Bestiary charm farming is separate content. They don't compete for time if you structure your sessions well. Read our charm guide for bestiary optimization.
What's the difference between Boosted Boss and Boosted Creature?
Boosted Creature (regular monsters): 2x experience, 2x loot, 2x respawn speed. Changes daily. Boosted Boss (Archfoe bosses): 250% equipment loot, 3x bosstiary kill credit, NO experience bonus. These are completely separate systems — check both daily on our World Status page.
