How to Access Djinn Trading (The Djinn War Quest)

1

Reach Ankrahmun

Main continent, east of Darashia

Travel to Ankrahmun via boat from any major city (Thais, Carlin, Ab'Dendriel, Venore). The Djinn fortresses are located northwest of the city in the desert. You can also access the quest from Yalahar if you have that area unlocked.

2

Choose Your Faction - PERMANENT DECISION

⚠️ This choice cannot be undone!

Visit either:

  • Blue Djinn (Marid): Enter Ashta'daramai fortress northwest of Ankrahmun. Speak with Gabel or Malor.
  • Green Djinn (Efreet): Enter Mal'ouquah fortress northwest of Ankrahmun. Speak with Alesar or Ubaid.

The NPCs will ask you to join their faction in the war. Once you say "yes," you're locked in permanently.

3

Complete the Faction Missions

After joining, you'll need to complete 3 simple missions for your faction:

  • Mission 1: Deliver a message to another NPC in the fortress
  • Mission 2: Kill a certain number of the enemy faction's creatures
  • Mission 3: Retrieve an item from a dangerous location

These missions are straightforward and take 15-30 minutes total for a level 40+ character.

4

Gain Trading Access

Once missions are complete, you can sell items to your faction's NPCs:

  • Blue Djinn: Nah'Bob (main trader) and Haroun (also trades) in Ashta'daramai
  • Green Djinn: Alesar (main trader) and Yaman (also trades) in Mal'ouquah

Both fortresses have NPCs in Ankrahmun AND Yalahar for convenience.

💡 TIP

💡 Pro Tips for the Quest

  • Bring rope, shovel, and some gold for the missions
  • Level 40+ makes the combat missions trivial
  • Research which faction buys YOUR most common drops before choosing
  • The quest is account-wide - each character must complete it separately
  • Some players make opposite-faction alts on different accounts for full coverage

Advanced Profit Optimization Strategies

💡 TIP

💰 Maximize Gold Per Capacity Point

Not all valuable items are worth carrying. Focus on gold-per-oz efficiency:

Best Efficiency (Blue Djinn):

  • Greater Garlic Necklace: 1,587 g/oz (10k for 6.3 oz)
  • Boots of Haste: 4,000 g/oz (30k for 7.5 oz)
  • Fire Sword: 174 g/oz (4k for 23 oz)

Best Efficiency (Green Djinn):

  • Onyx Flail: 846 g/oz (22k for 26 oz)
  • Vampire Shield: 395 g/oz (15k for 38 oz)
  • Dreaded Cleaver: 395 g/oz (15k for 38 oz)

🎯 Hunting Spot Optimization

Choose hunting spots that drop high-value items for your djinn faction:

Blue Djinn Hunting Spots:

  • Hydras: Drop Boots of Haste, Royal Helmet (extremely profitable)
  • High-level demon spawns: Crown items, heavy armors
  • Dragon Lords: Royal Helmet, Crown Shield
  • Medusa/Serpent Spawn: Crown items, Blue Robe

Green Djinn Hunting Spots:

  • Vampires: Vampire Shield (15k), other knight gear
  • Hero spawns: Knight Armor, Knight Legs, Warrior Helmet
  • High-level orc spawns: Giant Sword, Tower Shield
  • Quaras (for mages): Various rod drops

⚖️ Use the Calculator Every Hunt

Before every hunting trip, use our calculator to pre-plan your loot strategy:

  1. Enter your current level and vocation for accurate capacity
  2. Input weight you're already carrying (supplies, ammo, etc.)
  3. Sort items by "Price: High → Low" to see most valuable drops first
  4. Add items you expect to loot and see if you'll be overweight
  5. Plan which items to prioritize if capacity gets tight

Common Djinn Trading Mistakes to Avoid

DANGER

❌ Choosing faction without research

Many players rush the quest and pick a faction randomly, then regret it forever. Spend 10 minutes researching which faction buys YOUR most common drops from YOUR favorite hunting spots.

DANGER

❌ Ignoring gold-per-weight efficiency

Carrying heavy, low-value items wastes capacity. A Giant Sword (17k, 180 oz) gives 94 g/oz, while Boots of Haste (30k, 7.5 oz) gives 4,000 g/oz. Prioritize lightweight, high-value items!

DANGER

❌ Not using a calculator

Guessing capacity leads to leaving valuable items behind or making multiple trips. Use our calculator to optimize every hunt.

DANGER

❌ Forgetting about enchanted/elemental variants

Items like "Energy War Hammer" vs "War Hammer" or "Icy Spike Sword" vs "Spike Sword" sell for the SAME price to djinns. Don't pass them up thinking they're different!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I change my djinn faction later?

No. The faction choice is permanent and cannot be changed. Choose wisely!

Q: Which faction is more profitable overall?

Blue Djinn has slightly more items (60 vs 53) and includes Boots of Haste (30k), making it marginally more profitable. However, the "best" faction depends entirely on what YOU hunt most often.

Q: Do I need premium account for djinn trading?

Yes. Both djinn fortresses are in premium-only areas (Ankrahmun region).

Q: Can I sell to both factions if I have multiple characters?

Yes! Each character chooses independently. Many players create opposite-faction alts for maximum item coverage.

Q: Are djinn prices ever updated by CipSoft?

Rarely. Djinn prices have remained stable for years. Our calculator is updated whenever changes occur.

Q: What's better than djinn trading?

Only Rashid (Tuesday-Sunday rotating trader) occasionally beats djinn prices on specific items, and the market can beat both for rare items. For consistent, reliable profit on common drops, djinns are unbeatable.
