ABOUT THE QUEST

The Feaster of Souls Quest takes you on a journey to investigate mysterious portals and uncover the secrets of the realm between life and death. Beginning in the Brain Grounds near the Jakundaf Desert, the quest eventually leads you through the Netherworld and into Zarganash — a desolate dimension where the boundary between the living and the dead has shattered.

The quest is initiated by speaking with NPC Para Norbert, located north of the Jakundaf Desert. He will guide you through the initial missions involving the Brain Grounds — a hazardous area where the very ground deals percentage-based earth damage to anyone who walks on it.

This is true endgame content. The quest features multiple boss encounters requiring organized teams, including the notorious Brain Head fight where using the wrong damage type can actively heal the boss. The quest culminates with The Pale Worm, a 10-player encounter in the depths of Zarganash.

Completing the full quest line unlocks the Poltergeist Outfit — one of the most prestigious outfits in the game — along with the Prospectre and Beyonder achievements, and permanent access to the Netherworld and Zarganash hunting areas.

REQUIREMENTS

  • -- Level 250+ (minimum requirement; level 300+ strongly recommended)
  • -- Premium account required
  • -- Lion's Rock Quest completed (access to the sanctum)
  • -- Sea of Light Quest completed
  • -- The Shattered Isles Quest completed (access to Ramoa)
  • -- Blood Brothers Quest Mission 4 completed (access to Vengoth)
  • -- 1 Skull (for crafting the potion)
  • -- 1 Grave Flower (for crafting the potion)

DANGER

This quest has FOUR prerequisite quest lines. Verify you have access to Lion's Rock sanctum, Ramoa (via The Shattered Isles), and Vengoth (via Blood Brothers Mission 4) before starting. If you lack any of these, you will be unable to progress past certain missions. The Shattered Isles Quest Guide covers Ramoa access in detail.

SUPPLY LIST

Quest Items

  • -- 1 Skull (for Bone Meal)
  • -- 1 Grave Flower (for Grave Flower Extract)
  • -- Scalpel (obtained from Para Norbert during quest)

Boss Fight Supplies

  • -- Ice damage weapons and runes (Brain Head)
  • -- Poison Bomb Runes (Brain Head fight)
  • -- Earth protection equipment (Brain Grounds)
  • -- Ultimate Health Potions / Ultimate Mana Potions
  • -- Ultimate Spirit Potions (for paladins)

💡 TIP

The Skull and Grave Flower are the only items you need to bring. Both can be obtained beforehand. The Scalpel is given by Para Norbert during the quest, so you do not need to source it separately. Focus your supply budget on boss fight consumables — you will need large quantities of healing potions for the team encounters.

STEP-BY-STEP WALKTHROUGH — ALL MISSIONS

MISSION 1: DRAIN THE BRAIN

The first mission introduces you to Para Norbert and the Brain Grounds. You will ring the Death Knell in three locations, craft a special potion, collect tissue samples from a dangerous area, purify lost souls, and then face the Brain Head boss with a team of five.

PART A: RING THE DEATH KNELL

1

Find Para Norbert

North of Jakundaf Desert
Travel to the area north of the Jakundaf Desert to find NPC Para Norbert. Speak with him to learn about the strange phenomena occurring in the area. He will give you the Death Knell — a special item that must be rung in three specific locations across Tibia to weaken the barrier between worlds.
Para Norbert— say "mission"
Speak with Para Norbert about the mission. He explains the disturbances in the Brain Grounds and provides you with the Death Knell. You must ring it at three locations tied to death and the undead: Carlin Graveyard, the Ghostlands, and the Dark Cathedral.
2

Ring the Death Knell at Carlin Graveyard

Carlin Graveyard Entrance
Travel to Carlin and find the graveyard entrance. Use the Death Knell at the designated spot near the entrance. The bell will toll and you will see a visual confirmation that this location has been activated.
3

Ring the Death Knell at the Ghostlands

Ghostlands — Underground
Travel to the Ghostlands. Go down through a hole to the southwest, then proceed to the room to the west. Use the Death Knell in this underground chamber. The Ghostlands are populated by undead creatures, so come prepared for combat.

DANGER

The Ghostlands contain various undead creatures including Ghosts, Phantasms, and other spectral enemies. While not extremely dangerous for a level 250+ character, the narrow underground passages can make it easy to get surrounded. Clear the path before using the Death Knell.
4

Ring the Death Knell at Dark Cathedral

Dark Cathedral — Second Floor East
Travel to the Dark Cathedral. Go to the second floor, then head east. Enter the first room to the north. Use the Death Knell in this location to complete the third and final activation point. Return to Para Norbert after ringing all three bells.

💡 TIP

Plan your travel route efficiently. A good order is: Carlin Graveyard first (use the boat to Carlin), then the Ghostlands (southwest of Carlin), and finally the Dark Cathedral. This minimizes backtracking between the three locations.

PART B: CREATE THE POTION

5

Create Bone Meal

Any Wooden Grinder
Use your Skull on a Wooden Grinder to produce Bone Meal. Wooden Grinders can be found in various locations throughout Tibia, including kitchens in major cities.
6

Create Grave Flower Extract

Any Alchemical Apparatus
Use your Grave Flower on an Alchemical Apparatus to produce Grave Flower Extract. Alchemical Apparatus can be found in alchemy rooms in cities like Edron, Darashia, and Yalahar.
7

Combine and Drink the Potion

Inventory
Use the Bone Meal on the Grave Flower Extract to create a Vial with a Skull Cork. Drink the potion from your inventory. This grants you the ability to see and interact with the invisible portal next to Para Norbert, which leads to the Brain Grounds.

💡 TIP

The crafting sequence is strict: Skull + Wooden Grinder = Bone Meal. Grave Flower + Alchemical Apparatus = Grave Flower Extract. Bone Meal + Grave Flower Extract = Vial with a Skull Cork. Do not skip any step or attempt to combine items out of order.

PART C: COLLECT TISSUE SAMPLES

8

Enter the Brain Grounds

Invisible Portal near Para Norbert
After drinking the potion, you can now see the invisible portal next to Para Norbert. Enter it to access the Brain Grounds. Before entering, get a Scalpel from Para Norbert — you will need it to collect tissue samples inside.
Para Norbert— say "scalpel"
Ask Para Norbert for a Scalpel before entering the Brain Grounds. You need this tool to collect tissue samples from the blisters you will find on the ulcer tiles inside.

CRITICAL WARNING

The Brain Grounds contain yellow ground called Slime Fungus that deals PERCENTAGE-BASED earth damage to anyone walking on it. The damage scales by floor:
  • -- First floor: 15% of your maximum HP (earth damage)
  • -- Second floor: 20% of your maximum HP (earth damage)
  • -- Third floor: 25% of your maximum HP (earth damage)

This damage is unavoidable while on Slime Fungus tiles. Equip earth protection gear and keep your health topped off at all times. At level 250 with 3000+ HP, the third floor deals 750+ damage per tick — this WILL kill you if you are not healing.

9

Collect 20 Tissue Samples

Brain Grounds — Ulcer Tiles
Walk across the ulcer tiles in the Brain Grounds. When you see blisters appear, use the Scalpel on them to collect tissue samples. You need to collect 20 tissue samples in total. The blisters spawn randomly on ulcer tiles, so you may need to walk back and forth to find enough.

💡 TIP

Keep a close eye on your health while collecting tissue samples. The Slime Fungus ground damage is constant while you are on those tiles. Use a combination of healing spells and potions to sustain yourself. Earth protection imbuements and equipment significantly reduce the damage taken.

PART D: PURIFY LOST SOULS

10

Get the Purifier

Para Norbert
Return to Para Norbert after collecting the tissue samples. He will provide you with a Purifier for Lost Souls — a device needed to cleanse corrupted soul items.
11

Loot and Purify Lost Soul Items

Brain Grounds
Hunt the Lost Soul creatures in the Brain Grounds. They drop Lost Soul items which you must purify using the Purifier. Each purification has a 25% failure rate, meaning roughly 1 in 4 attempts will fail and destroy the item. You need to deliver 20 Purified Souls to Para Norbert.

DANGER

The 25% failure rate on purification means you should collect significantly more than 20 Lost Soul items. Plan to loot approximately 27-30 items to safely account for failures. Bad luck streaks can require even more. The Lost Soul creatures in the Brain Grounds include Flimsy Lost Souls, Mean Lost Souls, and Freakish Lost Souls — all dangerous opponents at this level range.
12

Deliver 20 Purified Souls

Para Norbert
Once you have accumulated 20 successfully purified souls, return to Para Norbert and deliver them. This completes the preparation phase and unlocks access to the Brain Head boss fight.

PART E: BRAIN HEAD BOSS FIGHT

13

Assemble Your Team and Enter the Boss Room

Brain Grounds — Boss Chamber
Form a team of 5 players. The Brain Head boss fight has a 20-hour cooldown and a strict 5-minute timer. Once you enter the boss chamber, you must defeat Brain Head within 5 minutes or the fight resets and you must wait for the cooldown.

BRAIN HEAD BOSS MECHANICS

This boss has critical mechanics that MUST be understood before entering:
  • -- Weakness: Brain Head is weak to ICE damage. Focus all Ice-based attacks on the boss.
  • -- CRITICAL: Energy damage HEALS Brain Head. Do NOT use any energy-based spells, runes, or weapons. This includes Vis-element spells for Sorcerers. Using energy damage actively heals the boss and can make the fight unwinnable.
  • -- Cerebellum summons: Brain Head summons Cerebellum creatures. Kill them in order, starting with the NORTHEAST one. Leaving summons alive increases the boss's power.
  • -- Bad Thoughts: These creatures spawn during the fight and use energy attacks. Their energy damage HEALS Brain Head. Use Poison Bomb Runes to block their path and keep them away from the boss.
  • -- Timer: You have exactly 5 minutes. If Brain Head is not dead by then, the fight ends and you wait 20 hours for another attempt.

💡 TIP

Recommended team composition for Brain Head:
  • -- 1 Elite Knight (blocker, use ice weapons)
  • -- 2 Elder Druids (healing + Avalanche/ice damage)
  • -- 2 Royal Paladins or Master Sorcerers (ice damage dealers — Sorcerers must avoid ALL energy spells)

Designate one player to place Poison Bomb Runes to control Bad Thought movement. The rest should focus purely on killing Cerebellums first, then burning down Brain Head with ice damage. Communication is essential — use voice chat.

14

Defeat Brain Head

Brain Grounds — Boss Chamber
Execute the strategy: kill Cerebellum summons starting from the northeast, place Poison Bomb Runes to block Bad Thoughts, and focus all ice damage on Brain Head. Avoid energy damage at all costs. After defeating Brain Head, the path forward to the Netherworld opens.

MISSION 2: JOURNEY TO THE NETHERWORLD

15

Make the Burial Shroud

Various Locations
After defeating Brain Head, you must craft a Burial Shroud to travel to the Netherworld. This involves collecting specific materials from various locations across Tibia and combining them. The materials are scattered across areas that require the prerequisite quest completions — this is why Lion's Rock, Sea of Light, Shattered Isles, and Blood Brothers access is mandatory.

💡 TIP

The Burial Shroud crafting requires visiting multiple locations tied to the prerequisite quests. Make sure you have confirmed access to Lion's Rock sanctum, Ramoa (Shattered Isles), and Vengoth (Blood Brothers) before attempting this mission. Without access to all these locations, you cannot gather the required materials.
16

Enter the Netherworld

Portal from Brain Grounds
Once the Burial Shroud is complete, use it to pass through the barrier and enter the Netherworld. This is a permanent transition — you will be able to return to this area at any time after this point. The Netherworld serves as the hub for the remaining quest content.

DANGER

The Netherworld is populated with Evil Prospectors and Cursed Prospectors. These creatures are aggressive and deal significant damage. Do not travel through the Netherworld unprepared — bring full supplies and stay alert. The area also connects to the Barren Drift, which contains additional threats.

MISSION 3: SOLO MINIBOSS GAUNTLET

After reaching the Netherworld, you must face three solo miniboss encounters. These fights must be completed alone — no team assistance is allowed. Each miniboss tests different combat abilities and requires careful preparation.

17

Defeat Unaz the Mean

Netherworld — Solo Arena
Unaz the Mean is the first solo miniboss encounter. This is a 1-on-1 fight that you must complete without any team support. Unaz hits hard with physical and death damage. Come with full healing supplies and appropriate protection.

DANGER

Unaz the Mean deals heavy melee and death damage. Knights should use death protection equipment. Mages and paladins must kite carefully and keep distance. At the recommended level of 300+, this fight is demanding but manageable with proper supplies.
18

Defeat Irgix the Flimsy

Netherworld — Solo Arena
Irgix the Flimsy is the second solo miniboss. Despite the name, do not underestimate this opponent. Irgix uses different attack patterns than Unaz, so adjust your strategy and equipment accordingly.
19

Defeat Vok the Freakish

Netherworld — Solo Arena
Vok the Freakish is the third and final solo miniboss. Vok is considered the hardest of the three solo encounters due to unpredictable attack patterns and high burst damage potential. Make sure you are fully supplied before entering.

💡 TIP

Solo miniboss preparation tips:
  • -- Bring maximum supplies for each fight — ultimate potions, runes, and rings
  • -- Switch protection equipment between fights based on each boss's damage type
  • -- Knights: use Exura Gran Ico and Ultimate Health Potions continuously
  • -- Mages: kite in circles, use Exura Vita and Strong Mana Potions
  • -- Paladins: maintain distance, use Diamond Arrows and heal aggressively
  • -- Complete these fights one at a time — there is no rush between them

MISSION 4: NETHERWORLD TEAM BOSSES

After clearing the solo miniboss gauntlet, you face four team boss encounters. Each requires a team of 5 players and presents unique mechanics. These bosses must be defeated in sequence to progress toward The Pale Worm.

20

Defeat Thaian

Netherworld — Boss Chamber
Thaian is the first of four team bosses. Assemble a team of 5 players. Thaian is a powerful entity from the Netherworld that tests your team's ability to coordinate damage and healing. The fight requires solid tanking and consistent healing output.

DANGER

Thaian deals heavy area damage and can overwhelm teams that do not spread out properly. The blocker must maintain aggro while other team members position themselves to avoid splash damage. Healers should prioritize the blocker at all times.
21

Defeat The Unwelcome

Netherworld — Boss Chamber
The Unwelcome is the second team boss. This encounter introduces additional mechanics beyond simple damage and healing. The Unwelcome summons creatures during the fight and applies debuffs to team members. Clear summons quickly to prevent being overwhelmed.

💡 TIP

For The Unwelcome fight, designate specific team members to handle summons while others maintain damage on the boss. If summons are allowed to accumulate, their combined damage output will exceed your healers' capacity. Communication between the damage dealers is critical.
22

Defeat The Dread Maiden

Netherworld — Boss Chamber
The Dread Maiden is the third team boss and represents a significant difficulty spike. She uses fear-based mechanics that can disrupt team positioning and powerful life drain attacks that can quickly deplete a blocker's health.

DANGER

The Dread Maiden is widely considered the hardest of the four team bosses. Her fear mechanics can scatter your team, breaking healing chains and leaving the blocker vulnerable. Stay disciplined with positioning and have backup healing ready when fear effects displace team members. Death protection equipment is highly recommended.
23

Defeat The Fear Feaster

Netherworld — Boss Chamber
The Fear Feaster is the fourth and final team boss before The Pale Worm. This encounter combines elements from all previous fights — summons, area damage, debuffs, and positioning requirements. This is the final test of your team's coordination before the grand finale.

DANGER

The Fear Feaster lives up to its name. This boss deals massive damage across multiple elements and summons creatures that must be controlled. Your team must be firing on all cylinders — any weakness in healing, tanking, or damage output will result in a wipe. Make sure all team members are fully supplied before entering.

💡 TIP

Team composition for all four Netherworld bosses:
  • -- 1-2 Elite Knights (primary blocker + backup blocker)
  • -- 2 Elder Druids (dedicated healing via Exura Sio)
  • -- 1-2 Damage dealers (Master Sorcerer or Royal Paladin)

Having two Knights provides a safety net if the primary blocker dies or gets feared. Both Druids should focus exclusively on healing the blocker(s) rather than dealing damage. Use voice chat for all four encounters.

FINAL MISSION: THE PALE WORM

The Pale Worm is the final boss of the Feaster of Souls Quest line. This is the ultimate endgame encounter — a massive fight in the depths of Zarganash that supports up to 10 players. All previous missions must be completed before you can challenge The Pale Worm.

24

Travel to Zarganash

Netherworld Portal to Zarganash
After defeating all four Netherworld team bosses, the path to Zarganash opens. Travel through the portal from the Netherworld into Zarganash — the Barren Drift that serves as the approach to The Pale Worm's domain.

ZARGANASH WARNING

Zarganash is one of the most dangerous zones in all of Tibia. The area is populated with extremely aggressive high-level creatures. Do not explore Zarganash alone or without full supplies. This is endgame content designed for organized teams of level 300+ characters.
25

Assemble Your Full Team

Zarganash
The Pale Worm fight supports up to 10 players and has a 20-hour cooldown. Gather the largest team you can — ideally the full 10 players. Make sure everyone has completed all previous missions and is carrying maximum supplies.
26

Enter The Pale Worm Boss Chamber

Zarganash — Deep
Navigate through Zarganash to reach The Pale Worm's chamber. The journey itself is dangerous due to the creatures inhabiting the area. Stay together as a group and clear a path to the boss entrance.

THE PALE WORM — FINAL BOSS

The Pale Worm is the most dangerous boss in the entire Feaster of Souls Quest line. Key information:
  • -- Team size: Up to 10 players
  • -- Cooldown: 20 hours between attempts
  • -- Difficulty: Extreme — this is true endgame content
  • -- Healing: Multiple dedicated healers are essential
  • -- Communication: Voice chat is mandatory for coordination

A failed attempt means waiting 20 hours. Come fully prepared or do not enter. Wasting the cooldown on an unprepared attempt delays your entire team.

27

Defeat The Pale Worm

Zarganash — Boss Chamber
Execute your team strategy to defeat The Pale Worm. This is the culmination of the entire quest line. Knights must maintain aggro, Druids must keep the blockers alive, and damage dealers must maximize output. The fight is a marathon, not a sprint — sustain your resources and stay disciplined throughout.

💡 TIP

Recommended team composition for The Pale Worm (10 players):
  • -- 2 Elite Knights (primary and secondary blocker)
  • -- 3 Elder Druids (2 dedicated to healing Knights, 1 for emergency/backup)
  • -- 3 Master Sorcerers (primary damage dealers)
  • -- 2 Royal Paladins (ranged damage + emergency healing support)

With 10 players, you have enough room for dedicated roles. Never compromise on healing — if a blocker dies during The Pale Worm fight, recovery is extremely difficult. The extra Druid provides insurance against healing gaps.

PRO TIPS

  • 1. Complete all prerequisites first. Verify access to Lion's Rock sanctum, Ramoa, and Vengoth before speaking to Para Norbert. Discovering a missing prerequisite mid-quest wastes significant time.
  • 2. Bring 27-30 Lost Soul items for purification. The 25% failure rate means 20 items will yield roughly 15 purified souls on average. Over-farming is better than under-farming and having to return to the Brain Grounds.
  • 3. NEVER use energy damage on Brain Head. This cannot be overstated. Energy damage heals the boss. Sorcerers must avoid all Vis-element spells. Check your weapon imbuements — if you have energy imbue, remove it before the fight.
  • 4. Poison Bomb Runes are mandatory for Brain Head. Bad Thoughts use energy attacks that heal Brain Head. Blocking their paths with Poison Bomb Runes prevents them from reaching the boss and neutralizes this mechanic entirely.
  • 5. Earth protection is essential for Brain Grounds. The percentage-based Slime Fungus damage scales with your maximum HP. At level 300 with 4000 HP, the third floor deals 1000 damage per tick. Terra Set, earth protection imbuements, and Garlic Necklaces all help reduce this.
  • 6. Practice the solo minibosses at lower risk. The three solo fights (Unaz, Irgix, Vok) do not affect your team. Take them seriously but understand that dying here only costs you individually. Learn the attack patterns before attempting team content.
  • 7. Do not waste The Pale Worm cooldown. With a 20-hour cooldown, a failed attempt is extremely costly. Only enter with a full 10-player team that is fully supplied and coordinated. A practice discussion before entering saves hours of waiting after a wipe.
  • 8. Use voice chat for ALL boss encounters. Text communication is too slow for the Brain Head timer, the team boss mechanics, and The Pale Worm fight. Discord, TeamSpeak, or Mumble are all acceptable. Coordinate roles before entering.
  • 9. Stagger your cooldowns wisely. If you fail a boss attempt, use the 20-hour cooldown period productively. Farm supplies, practice other quest steps, or help team members complete their solo miniboss fights.
  • 10. The Netherworld and Zarganash are worth revisiting. After quest completion, these areas provide excellent endgame hunting. The creatures here drop valuable loot and provide strong experience. Consider the quest an investment in long-term hunting access.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What level do I need for the Feaster of Souls Quest?

The minimum level requirement is 250, but level 300+ is strongly recommended. The quest involves multiple team boss fights against creatures that deal massive damage. Lower-level players will struggle to survive the Brain Grounds environmental damage and the boss encounters, especially The Pale Worm final fight.

Can I solo the Feaster of Souls Quest?

Parts of the quest can be done solo, such as the initial Death Knell ringing, tissue sample collection, and the three solo miniboss fights (Unaz the Mean, Irgix the Flimsy, Vok the Freakish). However, the Brain Head boss requires a team of 5, and the four Netherworld team bosses (Thaian, The Unwelcome, The Dread Maiden, The Fear Feaster) also require teams of 5. The Pale Worm final boss supports up to 10 players.

What quests do I need to complete before starting?

You need access to Lion's Rock sanctum (Lion's Rock Quest), completed Sea of Light Quest, completed The Shattered Isles Quest (for Ramoa access), and completed Blood Brothers Quest Mission 4 (for Vengoth access). These prerequisites ensure you can reach all the quest locations.

How does the Brain Head boss fight work?

Brain Head is a team fight for 5 players with a 20-hour cooldown and a 5-minute timer. The boss is weak to Ice damage. CRITICAL: Energy damage HEALS Brain Head. Kill the Cerebellum summons first, starting with the northeast one. Use Poison Bomb Runes to keep Bad Thoughts away from the boss, as their energy attacks heal it. Avoid all energy-based attacks.

What is the Slime Fungus damage in Brain Grounds?

The yellow ground (Slime Fungus) in the Brain Grounds deals percentage-based earth damage. The first floor deals 15% of your maximum HP, the second floor deals 20%, and the third floor deals 25%. This damage is unavoidable while traversing these areas, so bring strong earth protection and healing supplies.

What are the cooldowns for the boss fights?

The Brain Head boss fight has a 20-hour cooldown. The Pale Worm final boss also has a 20-hour cooldown. The solo miniboss fights and the Netherworld team bosses have their own cooldown timers as well. Plan your attempts accordingly and coordinate with your team.

What rewards do I get from the Feaster of Souls Quest?

You earn the Poltergeist Outfit (both male and female versions), the Prospectre achievement, the Beyonder achievement, and permanent access to Zarganash and the Netherworld areas. These are endgame zones with valuable hunting grounds for level 250+ players.
