ABOUT THE QUEST

The Grave Danger Quest is a high-level endgame quest introduced in update 12.20. It sends you across Tibia to sanctify 12 graves of fallen Inquisition knights who have been corrupted by dark forces. The lich-knights who once served the Inquisition now threaten to ravage the world, and only by cleansing their graves can their sinister plot be stopped.

The quest begins at The Inquisition headquarters beneath Thais, where NPC Jack Springer sells you the Vial of Potent Holy Water needed to sanctify each grave. Six of the twelve graves require only the holy water — no combat involved. The other six contain powerful bosses with unique, multi-phase mechanics that demand a well-coordinated team.

The quest spans locations including Thais, Edron, the Shattered Isles region, Kilmaresh, Cobra Bastion, Vengoth, the Ghostlands, Cormaya, Ramoa, and the Ice Islands. Upon completing all 12 graves and defeating King Zelos, you earn the prestigious Hand of the Inquisition Outfit and the Inquisition's Hand achievement.

STEP-BY-STEP WALKTHROUGH

GETTING STARTED

1

Find Jack Springer

Thais -- Inquisition HQ (2nd floor down)
Travel to Thais and enter The Inquisition headquarters. Go two floors down to find NPC Jack Springer. He is your starting point for the entire Grave Danger Quest and the vendor for your essential quest item.
Jack Springer— say "late"
Say “hi” to Jack Springer, then ask about “late”. He will explain the situation with the corrupted graves and the fallen Inquisition knights. Ask about “holy water” to purchase the Vial of Potent Holy Water.
2

Purchase Vial of Potent Holy Water

Thais -- Jack Springer
Buy the Vial of Potent Holy Water from Jack Springer. This single vial is reusable and works on all 12 graves. Keep it in your backpack throughout the entire quest. Without it, you cannot sanctify any grave.

💡 TIP

Before heading out, make sure you also have a Cheesy Figurine in your inventory. You will need it for specific grave interactions. If you do not have one, check the Market or obtain it through the appropriate means before starting your grave tour.

PART 1: HOLY WATER GRAVES (SOLO, NO COMBAT)

These 6 graves require only the Vial of Potent Holy Water. No boss fights, no team needed. Use the holy water on each grave to sanctify it. Complete these first before organizing your team for the boss graves.

3

Grave 1: Dark Cathedral

Dark Cathedral
Travel to the Dark Cathedral located south of Thais. Find the grave inside and use the Vial of Potent Holy Water on it. The area contains undead creatures, but you do not need to fight anything to reach the grave. At level 250+, nothing here poses a real threat.
4

Grave 2: Femor Hills

Femor Hills
Travel to Femor Hills. The grave is located in the area known for its witch population. Use the Vial of Potent Holy Water on it. Straightforward with no obstacles for an endgame character.
5

Grave 3: Kilmaresh

Kilmaresh
Travel to Kilmaresh. This grave requires you to have completed the first 4 puzzles of the Kilmaresh Quest (The Revenge of the Ogres storyline). If you have not done this, you will need to complete those puzzles before you can access this grave.

DANGER

The path to the Kilmaresh grave takes you through territory populated by all creatures of Kilmaresh, including Feral Sphinxes, Lamassu, and Crypt Wardens. While these are manageable at level 250+, careless autopiloting can still result in unnecessary damage. Stay alert.
6

Grave 4: Vengoth

Vengoth
Travel to Vengoth. The grave is located on this gloomy island. Use the holy water to sanctify it. Vengoth is accessible via the ship from Northport.
7

Grave 5: Orclands Entrance

Orclands Entrance
Travel to the entrance of the Orclands. The grave is nearby the area entrance. Use the Vial of Potent Holy Water to sanctify it.
8

Grave 6: Folda (Ice Islands)

Folda -- Ice Islands
Travel to Folda in the Ice Islands. You can reach Folda via the ship from Svargrond or Carlin. The grave is located on the island. Use the holy water to complete the sixth non-boss grave.

💡 TIP

Optimal route for the 6 holy water graves: Start at Dark Cathedral (near Thais), then Femor Hills, Orclands Entrance, Folda (boat from Carlin), Vengoth (boat from Northport), and finally Kilmaresh. This minimizes backtracking. All 6 can be done in a single session of roughly 30-45 minutes.

PART 2: BOSS GRAVES (TEAM OF 5 REQUIRED)

Each of these 6 graves contains a boss fight with unique mechanics. All boss fights require a team of 5 players and have a 20-hour individual cooldown. Coordinate with your team and learn each boss's mechanics before entering.

TEAM REQUIREMENT

Every boss fight in the Grave Danger Quest requires exactly a team of 5 players (except King Zelos, which allows up to 10). You cannot enter the boss chambers solo or with fewer than 5. Make sure all team members have the Vial of Potent Holy Water and have completed the prerequisite non-boss graves.

💡 TIP

Recommended team composition for all boss fights: 1 Elite Knight (blocker), 1 Elder Druid (dedicated healer using Exura Sio), 1 Master Sorcerer (damage + emergency support), 2 Royal Paladins (ranged DPS). Voice chat is mandatory for coordinating boss mechanic phases.

BOSS 1: COUNT VLARKORTH

9

Travel to Edron Cemetery

Edron Cemetery
Head to the cemetery in Edron. The entrance to Count Vlarkorth's chamber is located within the graveyard area. Gather your team of 5 before entering.

BOSS MECHANICS -- COUNT VLARKORTH

Damage type to use: Death damage is most effective.
Damage type to avoid: Fire damage is heavily resisted.
Protection needed: Fire protection equipment is essential. The boss uses powerful Fire Wave attacks.
Special mechanic: Vlarkorth summons 5 Soulless Minions that actively heal him. These must be killed to reduce incoming healing on the boss. Additionally, the boss periodically becomes invulnerable and summons dark vocation-based summons (Dark Knight, Dark Paladin, Dark Sorcerer, Dark Druid) based on the vocations present in your team. You must kill these summons, then use Good Remains on the boss to break his invulnerability.
10

Phase 1: Kill Soulless Minions

Vlarkorth's Chamber
When the fight begins, Count Vlarkorth will summon 5 Soulless Minions. These minions heal the boss, making it nearly impossible to kill him while they are alive. Focus all DPS on the Soulless Minions first. The knight should hold aggro on Vlarkorth while the rest of the team eliminates the minions.
11

Phase 2: Break Invulnerability

Vlarkorth's Chamber
After losing enough health, Vlarkorth becomes invulnerable and summons Dark vocation copies of your team members (Dark Knight, Dark Paladin, Dark Sorcerer, Dark Druid depending on who is in the room). Kill all the dark summons quickly. Once they are dead, use the Good Remains on Count Vlarkorth to make him vulnerable again. Resume DPS immediately.
12

Phase 3: Finish Vlarkorth

Vlarkorth's Chamber
After breaking his invulnerability, burn down the remaining HP. Vlarkorth will continue using Fire Wave attacks, so stay positioned carefully. The knight should trap Vlarkorth in a corner using Demon Skeletons if possible. All other team members should stand diagonally to avoid the Fire Wave.

💡 TIP

Positioning is critical. Trap Count Vlarkorth in a corner with Demon Skeletons. Stand diagonal to the boss to avoid his Fire Wave, which deals massive damage in a frontal cone. The druid should focus exclusively on healing the knight with Exura Sio while paladins and sorcerer handle DPS.

BOSS 2: LORD AZARAM

13

Travel to the Ghostlands Crypt

Ghostlands Crypt
Head to the Ghostlands and locate the crypt entrance. Assemble your team of 5 before entering Lord Azaram's chamber.

BOSS MECHANICS -- LORD AZARAM

Damage type to use: Death and Ice damage are most effective.
Damage type to avoid: Earth damage is heavily resisted.
Special mechanic 1: Azaram summons Condensed Sins. These creatures reflect Death damage back at the attacker. Use area attacks only and avoid single-target Death spells on them.
Special mechanic 2: The boss applies Lesser Hex, which reduces all healing received by 50%. Your druid must compensate by healing more aggressively.
Special mechanic 3:Azaram transforms into Azaram's Soul. You must kill Tainted Soul Splinters to obtain Cleansed Soul Splinters, then lure the soul over the cleansed splinters to heal it. Repeat this process 3 times.
14

Phase 1: Deal with Condensed Sins

Azaram's Chamber
When the fight starts, Lord Azaram will summon Condensed Sins. These creatures reflect Death damage, so do NOT use single-target Death spells on them. Instead, use area attacks to destroy them. The knight should keep Azaram's attention while the team deals with the adds.
15

Phase 2: Survive the Lesser Hex

Azaram's Chamber
Throughout the fight, Azaram applies Lesser Hex to your team, cutting all healing received by half. This is a persistent debuff that cannot be removed. Your druid must heal more frequently and the knight should use strong health potions to compensate. Avoid taking unnecessary damage during this phase.
16

Phase 3: Heal Azaram's Soul

Azaram's Chamber
When Azaram transforms into Azaram's Soul, the fight shifts to a healing mechanic. Kill the Tainted Soul Splinters that appear around the room. Each one drops a Cleansed Soul Splinter. Lure Azaram's Soul over the Cleansed Soul Splinters to heal it. You must successfully heal the soul 3 times to complete this phase. After the third healing, the boss encounter ends.

💡 TIP

The Azaram fight is one of the most mechanically complex encounters in the quest. The key is coordination during the soul phase. Designate one player to lure the soul while others focus on killing Tainted Soul Splinters. Communication via voice chat is essential here — call out when cleansed splinters are ready and coordinate the lure.

BOSS 3: EARL OSAM

17

Travel to Cormaya Graveyard

Cormaya Graveyard
Travel to the island of Cormaya (accessible via the boat from Edron). Head to the graveyard area and locate the boss chamber entrance. Assemble your team before entering.

BOSS MECHANICS -- EARL OSAM

Damage type to use: Fire damage is most effective against Earl Osam.
Damage types to avoid: Death and Ice damage are heavily resisted.
Protection needed: Ice protection equipment. Earl Osam deals heavy Ice-based damage that can quickly overwhelm players without proper protection.
18

Fight Earl Osam

Osam's Chamber
Earl Osam is the most straightforward boss fight in the Grave Danger Quest. There are no complex multi-phase mechanics. The challenge is raw damage output and survivability. Equip Ice protection, use Fire-based attacks, and maintain steady DPS while the druid keeps the knight alive. The knight must keep Osam trapped and facing away from the ranged team members.

💡 TIP

This fight is a gear check more than a mechanics check. If your team has proper Ice protection and sufficient DPS, Osam goes down quickly. Use this boss to calibrate your team's coordination before tackling the more mechanically demanding fights.

BOSS 4: SIR NICTROS & SIR BAELOC

19

Travel to Ramoa

Ramoa
Travel to Ramoa. The boss chamber for this encounter is located in the area. Assemble your full team of 5 before entering. This is a dual boss encounter — you will face two bosses simultaneously.

BOSS MECHANICS -- SIR NICTROS & SIR BAELOC

Dual boss encounter: You fight Sir Nictros and Sir Baeloc at the same time. Both bosses are active from the start and must be managed simultaneously.
Key challenge: Split damage, split tanking. The knight must position to hold both bosses or your team must use two blockers. Letting either boss reach your backline will likely cause deaths.
Strategy: Focus one boss down while the knight kites or traps the other. Coordinate which boss to kill first with your team before entering.
20

Fight Both Bosses Simultaneously

Ramoa -- Boss Chamber
Enter the chamber and immediately establish tanking positions. The knight should hold aggro on both bosses if possible, or trap one using the environment while the team focuses down the other. Communicate target priority before pulling. Once the first boss dies, the remaining boss becomes easier to manage but may enrage, so maintain healing output until the fight ends.

💡 TIP

Priority target:Teams generally prefer to kill Sir Nictros first as his attacks can be more disruptive. However, evaluate both bosses' remaining health and adapt. The druid must be prepared for higher healing demands during this fight since damage comes from two sources simultaneously.

BOSS 5: DUKE KRULE

21

Travel to Cobra Bastion Area

Cobra Bastion Area
Travel to the Cobra Bastion area. The grave containing Duke Krule is located in this region. The path may take you through territory controlled by Members of the Order of the Cobra. Assemble your team before entering.

DANGER

The area around Cobra Bastion contains all Members of the Order of the Cobra. These are dangerous creatures at any level. Stay together as a team when moving through the area and do not let anyone get separated from the group.
22

Fight Duke Krule

Krule's Chamber
Duke Krule is a powerful lich-knight boss. The knight must maintain aggro and keep Krule contained while the rest of the team applies steady DPS. Watch for his special attacks and be ready to react to any summon or mechanic phases. The druid must prioritize keeping the knight alive with consistent Exura Sio healing.

💡 TIP

Duke Krule occupies the area near Cobra Bastion, so you may encounter Order of the Cobra enemies on your way in. Clear the path to the boss chamber as a group, then enter together. Do not rush ahead alone.

FINAL BOSS: KING ZELOS

FINAL ENCOUNTER

King Zelos is the final boss of the Grave Danger Quest. You MUST have completed all 11 other graves (6 holy water + 5 boss fights) before you can access this encounter. Up to 10 players can enter the King Zelos fight. The encounter has a 20-hour cooldown per character. This is the hardest fight in the entire quest line.
23

Verify All 11 Graves Are Complete

Check Your Quest Log
Before attempting King Zelos, verify that all 11 other graves have been sanctified. This includes the 6 holy water graves and the 5 boss graves (Vlarkorth, Azaram, Osam, Nictros & Baeloc, and Krule). If any grave is incomplete, you cannot access the King Zelos chamber. Check your quest log to confirm your progress.
24

Assemble Your Team (Up to 10 Players)

King Zelos Chamber
King Zelos allows up to 10 players, making it the largest encounter in the Grave Danger Quest. Bring the strongest team you can assemble. Recommended composition for 10 players:
  • -- 2 Elite Knights (primary and backup blocker)
  • -- 2 Elder Druids (dedicated healers for each knight)
  • -- 2 Master Sorcerers (area damage and emergency support)
  • -- 4 Royal Paladins (sustained ranged DPS)
25

Fight King Zelos

King Zelos Chamber
King Zelos is a multi-phase encounter that tests everything your team has learned from the previous 5 boss fights. Expect heavy damage, summons, debuffs, and mechanic checks. The primary knight must maintain aggro at all times while the backup knight handles any adds. Druids heal exclusively with Exura Sio. Sorcerers and paladins focus on maximum DPS during vulnerability windows. Stay disciplined, follow callouts, and do not panic when mechanics overlap.

DANGER

King Zelos is the most dangerous encounter in the Grave Danger Quest. Deaths are common even for experienced teams. Make sure all players have full blessings before entering. A single mistake in positioning or healing timing can cascade into a full team wipe. Practice the previous 5 bosses until they feel routine before attempting Zelos.

💡 TIP

Voice chat is non-negotiable for King Zelos. With up to 10 players and overlapping mechanics, text chat is far too slow. Designate a shot caller who announces phase transitions, target switches, and positioning adjustments. Everyone else should keep comms clear unless reporting critical information (low health, mechanic failure, add spawn).
26

Claim Your Rewards

After Defeating King Zelos
After defeating King Zelos, the quest is complete. You receive the basic Hand of the Inquisition Outfit (both male and female versions) and the Inquisition's Hand achievement. Congratulations — you have sanctified all 12 graves and stopped the lich-knights from plunging Tibia into darkness.

REWARDS

🏆 Hand of the Inquisition Outfit

The basic Hand of the Inquisition Outfit is unlocked upon completing all 12 graves and defeating King Zelos. Both male and female versions are awarded. This is one of the more prestigious endgame outfits, signaling that you have conquered all of the Grave Danger Quest's challenges.

🏆 Inquisition's Hand Achievement

The Inquisition's Hand achievement is awarded upon completing the full quest. This achievement is displayed on your character's profile and tracks your completion of this endgame content.

PRO TIPS FOR EXPERIENCED PLAYERS

  • 1. Complete all 6 holy water graves first. They take under an hour solo and eliminate half the quest immediately. Do these before even looking for a team.
  • 2. Handle the Kilmaresh prerequisite early. The first 4 puzzles of the Kilmaresh Quest take time. If you have not done them yet, start several days before you plan to attempt Grave Danger.
  • 3. Farm bosses for practice, not just quest credit. Boss fights are repeatable every 20 hours. Use the first few attempts on Vlarkorth and Osam to calibrate your team before tackling the harder encounters.
  • 4. Swap protection equipment between bosses. Fire protection for Vlarkorth, Ice for Osam, Earth awareness for Azaram. Bring multiple equipment sets and swap between fights. Do not use the same gear for every boss.
  • 5. The Azaram soul phase is the make-or-break moment. If your team fails the soul healing mechanic, you fail the encounter. Practice the lure path with your designated soul handler before the fight starts.
  • 6. Sir Nictros and Sir Baeloc demand split attention. Assign one player to call out health percentages on both bosses. Evenly distributed damage across both bosses is a common mistake — focus one down first.
  • 7. King Zelos with 10 players is significantly easier. Do not attempt Zelos with 5. The encounter allows 10 players for a reason. Use all 10 slots.
  • 8. Full blessings before every attempt. Deaths in these boss fights are common. The experience and skill loss from dying without blessings at level 250+ is brutal. Always have full blessings active, including the Blessing of the Inquisition from the Inquisition Quest.
  • 9. Coordinate cooldown timers. All 5 (or 10) team members must be off cooldown simultaneously. Use a shared spreadsheet or Discord bot to track everyone's 20-hour cooldowns.
  • 10. Do not skip the Cheesy Figurine. Make sure everyone in the team has this quest item before starting. Going back for it mid-quest wastes everyone's time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What level do I need for the Grave Danger Quest?

The minimum level requirement is 250, but level 300+ is strongly recommended. The six boss fights feature complex mechanics, heavy damage output, and strict DPS checks. Below 300, your team will struggle with survivability and may fail the timed phases of encounters like Lord Azaram and Count Vlarkorth.

Can I do the Grave Danger Quest solo?

The 6 non-boss graves (holy water only) can be completed solo without any combat. However, the 6 boss graves each require a coordinated team of 5 players. King Zelos, the final boss, allows up to 10 players. None of the boss encounters are designed for solo play.

How often can I repeat the boss fights?

Each boss fight has a 20-hour individual cooldown timer. This means you can fight the same boss once every 20 hours. The cooldown is per-character, so different characters on the same account can fight bosses independently. King Zelos also has a 20-hour cooldown.

Do I need to complete the Kilmaresh Quest first?

Yes, you need to complete the first 4 puzzles of the Kilmaresh Quest (The Revenge of the Ogres storyline) to access the grave located in Kilmaresh. Without this prerequisite, you cannot sanctify all 12 graves and therefore cannot face King Zelos.

Where do I buy the Vial of Potent Holy Water?

Buy it from NPC Jack Springer, located on the second floor down of The Inquisition headquarters under Thais. Say 'hi' then ask about 'late' or 'holy water'. You only need one vial as it is reusable across all 12 graves.

What is the best team composition for boss fights?

A standard team of 5 should include: 1 Elite Knight (blocker), 1 Elder Druid (healer, Exura Sio on the knight), 1 Master Sorcerer (damage dealer and emergency healing), and 2 Royal Paladins (ranged DPS). For King Zelos with 10 players, double up on blockers and healers. Voice chat is essential for coordinating boss mechanic phases.

What reward do I get from the Grave Danger Quest?

Completing all 12 graves and defeating King Zelos grants the basic Hand of the Inquisition Outfit (male and female versions) and the Inquisition's Hand achievement. The outfit is one of the more prestigious cosmetic rewards in the game, signaling endgame quest completion.
