The short answer depends entirely on your vocation
IF YOU ARE A MONK

Reward Value Comparison
How much each quest is worth depends on your vocation
FOR MONKS
BETWEEN THE LINES
6/10- Book World access (nice, not mandatory)
- Figurine (cosmetic)
- Illuminator Outfit (cosmetic)
WAY OF THE MONK
10/10- 50% damage in Serene State (HUGE)
- Full Enlightenment set (best gear 70-200)
- Focus Harmony + 2 exclusive spells
- 1M+ exp
Without this quest, Monks are 50% weaker. Mandatory.
FOR OTHER VOCATIONS
BETWEEN THE LINES
8/10- Book World hunting (new spots at 200+)
- 30 minutes time investment
- Immediate access
Great value for time invested. Do this first.
WAY OF THE MONK
5/10- 1,047,800 exp (nice but not huge)
- Pensive Wanderer title (cosmetic)
- 10 Promotion Points (minor)
1M exp = ~3 hours of hunting. Not worth weeks unless you want the title.
Decision Guide
Follow this flowchart based on your situation
ARE YOU A MONK?
YES: Do Way of the Monk FIRST. Prioritize shrines 1-7 (level 6-100) for Enlightenment set + 25% auto attack + Mystic Repulse spell. Complete Between the Lines later at 200+.
NO: Do Between the Lines FIRST at level 200. 30 minutes for immediate value. Consider Way of the Monk only if you want 1M exp or the title.
ALREADY LEVEL 200+ AND HAVEN'T DONE EITHER?
Monks: Do shrines 1-9 in one session (~2 hours), then Between the Lines (30 min). Finish shrine 10 at 275.
Others: Do Between the Lines now (30 min). Skip Way of the Monk unless you need the exp.
LEVEL 275+ AND STILL DECIDING?
Do both. At 275+, you can complete all 10 shrines + Between the Lines in ~3 hours total. No reason to skip either at this point.
