Knight Leveling Guide: Levels 8 to 100
Best hunting spots by level with real exp/hr rates, equipment unlocks, spell progression, and weapon path advice. Your complete roadmap from beginner to level 100.
TL;DR -- FASTEST LEVELING PATH
Level 8-20: Beginner Knight
Learning the basics -- shield blocking, single-target damage, and first hunting grounds
💡 PICK YOUR WEAPON TYPE EARLY
Choose between Sword, Axe, or Club and commit to it. Your weapon skill only levels up for the type you actively use. Switching weapon types later means grinding skill from scratch. Swords have the widest selection of weapons at every level, Axes tend to have higher raw damage endgame, and Clubs are viable but less popular. Most new knights pick Sword for versatility.

BEST HUNTING SPOTS (8-20)
COMBAT BASICS (8-20)
Levels 8-15: Only Light Healing (exura) and auto attacks. Use your shield to block hits. Knights have the highest HP pool of all vocations — you can take more punishment than any other class.
Level 16: Brutal Strike (exori ico) is your first real damage spell. Single-target, 30 mana, physical damage. Spam it on cooldown between auto attacks.
Level 20: Get your Elite Knight promotion immediately (20,000 gold at any Temple). This unlocks Challenge at level 20.
Level 20-40: Early Game Acceleration
Promotion, Challenge, and Berserk -- the knight toolkit comes online
💡 PROMOTION AT LEVEL 20 -- ELITE KNIGHT
Once you hit level 20, immediately go to any Temple and purchase your promotion to Elite Knight for 20,000 gold. This improves HP/mana regeneration, reduces death penalties, and unlocks Challenge (exeta res) — the most important knight utility spell. Challenge forces all nearby creatures to attack you, letting you control exactly what hits you and keeping your back safe.

💡 BERSERK = GAME CHANGER (LEVEL 35)
Berserk (exori) is the spell that transforms knight leveling. It hits all creatures within melee range around you for 115 mana. Combined with Groundshaker (exori mas, level 33) which hits all tiles around the caster, you now have TWO AoE spells. Box 4-8 creatures, spam Challenge to keep aggro, then alternate Berserk and Groundshaker on cooldown. This is when knight leveling becomes FAST.
BEST HUNTING SPOTS (20-40)
ROTATION UPDATE (35+)
Single target: Brutal Strike (exori ico) on cooldown + auto attacks
AoE (3+ creatures): Challenge → Berserk (exori) → Groundshaker (exori mas) → Brutal Strike (exori ico) → repeat
Ranged: Whirlwind Throw (exori hur, level 28) for pulling or finishing fleeing creatures
Level 40-60: Mid-Early Power Spike
Breaking 500k exp/hr -- Lion's Rock and the imbuement era

💡 THE 500K/HR MILESTONE -- LION'S ROCK (LEVEL 50)
At level 50, you unlock Lion's Rock — the single best exp jump in the 8-100 range. It hits 500,000 exp/hr with 65k loot/hr profit. Quest access is required but absolutely worth the effort. Knights can full box lions at 50 with decent equipment and skills. Use Berserk and Groundshaker to AoE clear. Crystal Spiders at Nibelor(400k/hr, 90k profit) are the best alternative if Lion's Rock is occupied.
💡 IMBUE YOUR EQUIPMENT AT LEVEL 50
Level 50 is when you should start imbuing. Your two priorities:
1. Life Leech (weapon) — Heals you based on damage dealt. Reduces potion consumption massively.
2. Mana Leech (weapon or helmet) — Restores mana from hits. Lets you spam AoE spells without running dry.
These two imbuements transform knight hunting from potion-heavy to nearly self-sustaining. Check our Imbuement Guide for materials and costs.
BEST HUNTING SPOTS (40-60)
KNIGHT BOXING TECHNIQUE
Knights are the ONLY vocation that can consistently "full box" (surround yourself with 8 creatures) at this level. Your high HP pool and shield blocking make it survivable. The technique: run into a group of creatures, use Challenge to grab aggro, then stand still and let them surround you. Alternate Berserk and Groundshaker while healing with Intense Healing (level 40). This is faster than kiting because every AoE spell hits all 8 creatures.
Level 60-80: Blood Rage Era
Massive damage buff, new AoE spells, and 600k/hr hunting
EQUIPMENT UNLOCKS
CRITICAL SPELLS
💡 BLOOD RAGE -- HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD (LEVEL 60)
Blood Rage (utito tempo) gives a massive boost to your melee skills, significantly increasing all damage. The catch: you cannot use healing spells while Blood Rage is active. This means you rely entirely on health potions and Life Leech imbuements for survival. Use Blood Rage at spawns where you are comfortable with the incoming damage. At Bog Raiders or Mother of Scarabs, you can safely Blood Rage for huge clear speed. Turn it off before moving to dangerous areas.
BEST HUNTING SPOTS (60-80)
ROTATION UPDATE (60+)
AoE rotation (with Blood Rage): Blood Rage ON → Challenge → Berserk → Groundshaker → Front Sweep (70) → Brutal Strike → repeat
Without Blood Rage: Same rotation but you can heal with spells between attacks. Use this at harder spawns.
Level 70: Front Sweep (exori min) adds a frontal AoE to your rotation — great for corridor-style spawns
Level 80-100: Late-Mid Endgame Prep
Over 1kk exp/hr -- Fierce Berserk and your gateway to 100+

💡 THE 1KK+ BARRIER -- CARLIN CULTS (LEVEL 90)
At level 90, knights break the 1 million exp/hr barrier. Carlin Cults hits an incredible 1.3kk exp/hr — more than double the best spots from the previous bracket. Requires Cults of Tibia quest access. At the same level, you unlock Fierce Berserk (exori gran) — your strongest melee AoE spell at 340 mana. This spell combined with Blood Rage makes you an AoE damage machine. If Carlin Cults is taken, Edron Heroes (1.2kk/hr + 150k profit) is an excellent alternative.
BEST HUNTING SPOTS (80-100)
FINAL ROTATION (90+)
Full AoE rotation (Blood Rage ON): Challenge → Fierce Berserk (exori gran) → Groundshaker → Berserk → Front Sweep → Brutal Strike → repeat
Key: Fierce Berserk has a longer cooldown than regular Berserk, so you alternate them. Use Challenge every rotation to maintain aggro. With Blood Rage + Life Leech imbues, you sustain through health potions alone.
💡 CONGRATULATIONS -- YOU MADE IT TO 100!
At level 100, you unlock Magic Plate Armor and the strongest early-game equipment set. You are now ready for the 100-200 grind where exp rates jump even higher at spots like Glooth Tower and Edron Werecreatures. Continue your journey with our dedicated Knight Hunting Guide 2026 for all hunting spots beyond level 100.
Leveling Tips & Optimization
💡 WEAPON SKILL TRAINING MATTERS
Your weapon skill directly multiplies all melee damage. Higher skill = more damage per hit from both auto attacks and attack spells. Offline train at every logout — the free skill training while logged out adds up significantly over weeks. If you can afford it, exercise weapons from the store train your skill even faster. A knight with 80 sword skill does noticeably more damage than one with 60 skill using the same weapon.
💡 IMBUEMENTS THAT MATTER (50+)
Priority order:
1. Life Leech (weapon) — HP returned per hit. Combined with AoE hitting 8 creatures, this heals you massively every rotation.
2. Mana Leech (weapon or helmet) — Mana returned per hit. Knights are mana-hungry with 3-4 AoE spells per rotation.
3. Skill Boost (weapon) — +4 to your weapon skill. Direct damage increase on everything.
Start imbuing at level 50 when you have decent cash flow from hunting. Tier 2 is fine until level 80. Check our Imbuement Guide for materials and costs.
💡 KNIGHTS CAN FULL BOX EARLIER THAN ANY VOCATION
Full boxing (letting 8 creatures surround you) is the fastest way to level because every AoE spell hits all 8 targets. Knights can start full boxing as early as level 35 at appropriate spawns thanks to the highest HP pool, shield blocking, and Challenge controlling aggro. Other vocations cannot safely do this until much later. Take advantage of this — always try to have as many creatures around you as you can survive.
COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID
X Switching weapon types mid-game — you lose all skill progress in your old weapon
X Delaying promotion past level 20 — Challenge and better regen are too important
X Using Blood Rage at dangerous spawns without Life Leech imbuements
X Not using Challenge — you take more damage when creatures attack from behind than from the front where your shield blocks
X Ignoring Groundshaker (33) and only using Berserk — they have separate cooldowns, alternate them for maximum damage
💡 STAMINA MANAGEMENT
Keep stamina above 14 hours for the 50% bonus exp. Train offline in Dawnport or buy stamina refills from the store if you are power leveling. Never hunt below 14 hours stamina — you are losing half your exp. The optimal pattern is to hunt for 2-3 hours, then logout and let stamina regenerate while you offline train.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the fastest way to level a Knight from 8 to 100?
Follow this path: Mistrock Cyclops with Stealth Rings (8-16) → Tarantulas (16-30) → Mother of Scarabs -3 (35-50) → Lion's Rock (50-70) → Bog Raiders (70-90) → Carlin Cults (90-100). Use Berserk at 35 and Fierce Berserk at 90 for maximum AoE clear speed.
Should I pick Sword, Axe, or Club as a Knight?
Pick ONE weapon type and stick with it forever. All three are viable. Swords have the widest selection at every level bracket. Axes tend to have slightly higher damage in the endgame. Clubs are less popular but have strong options too. The key is that your weapon skill only trains for the type you use, so switching later means starting your skill from scratch. Most knights choose sword for versatility or axe for raw damage.
When should I get promoted to Elite Knight?
Immediately at level 20. It costs 20,000 gold and is purchased at any Temple. Promotion gives better HP and mana regeneration, reduces death penalties, and unlocks Challenge (exeta res) which is essential for tanking. Never delay your promotion — it is the single most important purchase in early game.
What is Blood Rage and when should I use it?
Blood Rage (utito tempo, level 60) gives a massive boost to your melee skills, significantly increasing damage output. The tradeoff is that you cannot use healing spells while it is active. Use Blood Rage only when you have Life Leech imbuements to sustain HP, or at spawns where you take minimal damage. Turn it off before dangerous situations. It is a game-changer for clear speed when used correctly.
What equipment should I prioritize as a new Knight?
Weapon upgrades matter most for damage output. Follow your chosen weapon path: Swords: Carlin Sword → Spike Sword → Serpent Sword → Fire Sword → Bright Sword. For armor, go Plate Armor → Knight Armor → Crown Armor → Magic Plate Armor. Always buy promotion (20k gold) before equipment upgrades.
What is the best money-making spot before level 100?
Mother of Scarabs Lair -3 (35+) gives 200k exp/hr AND 150k loot/hr — the best profit-to-exp ratio in the entire 8-100 range. Elves Yalahar (16+) gives 75k loot/hr for early game funding. At 90+, Edron Vampire Crypt provides 200k loot/hr with 800k exp/hr, and Edron Heroes gives 150k loot/hr with 1.2kk exp/hr.
